Lytmeup Dimmable Ring Light Review

Hello my lovelies,

I hope you are all well. At christmas I decided it was time to start changing up my lighting at the salon and so I started to search for reasonably priced lights and while on instagram I kept getting sponsored posts for a ring light from Lytmeup, a brand I had never heard of.

They were showing as £39 reduced from £89. I am always skeptical about these things, selling for less than half price. What are the chances that this offer is not going to end soon and is in actual fact a long term price. I thought, why not, lets give this brand a shot. So I made my purchase. I was then told that it could take up to a month to get delivered. That was disappointing, but I had already committed to it and had no choice but to wait.

Around the end of January I picked up a parcel from the sorting office, it was very slim line and compact. I was pleased about that. I detest getting deliveries with a lot of extra packaging for no reason.

I was so excited to open the parcel and see what it was like. I really like that the whole thing comes apart and is easily transported. It was all very easy to put together and plug in. It came with a usb connection which made it so easy to turn on. I could do it with a plug or I could plug it straight in to my laptop.

I was so happy with the light settings. It has 3 light intensities and 3 warmth settings. For the £39 I think this is really good quality and seemed very well made.

It is not the biggest ring light, but it serves the purpose and my pictures and videos have been really well lit with it. I would say my only complaint would be that it isnt the most sturdy. It is very light weight and has fallen over a couple of times while sitting upright. The more you stretch the stand up the worse that gets. If you keep it small and low down then it is more stable.

You can definitely get better quality ring lights, however, if you are on a budget and don't want to put out a large amount of money, this is a great starter light for you.

I would give this a 4/5 overall.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read my post. I hope you enjoyed. Let me know in the comments if you have any ring light recommendations.

See you soon,

Fibromyalgia isn't a real illness!!

Hello my lovelies,

I hope this post finds you well. Yes you read this right. I don't believe that Fibromyalgia is a real illness!!

Ok ok, put the pitch forks down!! Before you start a lynch mob, I am not saying that people with it aren't sick. Quite the opposite. I just feel that this mystery illness Fibromyalgia has more to it than just one illness!

For a start it really isn't a diagnosis at all. It is the final straw after a process of elimination. You go through so many tests you will have had more pricks than kerplunk! You will have seen so many different doctors that you will feel like you see them more than your family. By the time they see you don't have a, b, c or d they have no clue so they tell you it is Fibromyalgia. They don't know how you got it, why you got it or really how to treat it either.Every study that is done contradicts the previous study. Some say its to do with nerves, some say its to do with blood. Some doctors claim there is a test to diag…

First Impressions of Maybelline Tattoo Brow

Hello my lovelies,

How are we all? Today is the 1st February! I know I cannot quite believe that either. January felt like it was so long, but now I am thinking wow that was fast!

I have been trying so many different brow products out over the years I wanted to share with you my experiences of my first impressions with some of the new products on the market.

I like Maybelline products for the most part, but I have to be honest and say I have never been in love with any of their brow products. I saw the Tattoo Brow, which claims to be waterproof and lasts up to 2 days. So I thought it would be a good one to try. I saw it in Tesco in their 2 for £12 so I also picked up a new mascara as well, because why not haha.

So this morning I sat down in front of my mirror and set about doing my makeup. It is one of those days where I couldn't be bothered doing anything major so i put the bare minimum on so I wouldn't scare my clients and I was done.

I opened the box and was instantly disap…

Living with Chronic Illnesses: Grieving for me

Hello my lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well. I made a video a few years ago on this subject, but I don't feel I fully articulated what I was trying to capture very well.

I have lived most of my life with pain, exhaustion and constant illness but nothing could have prepared me for what I would come up against 6 years ago.

I was working in a nursing home, as a care assistant, studying Health and Social Care with plans to go in to nursing. I wanted to work as a nurse in a home. I loved my job. I loved what I could do to help those I was caring for. I had been taking pain relief for around 10 years by this stage, mostly codeine, every so often increasing to tramadol. Generally that was only for short periods. I had spent 6 weeks off sick from a viral infection. My doctor tried to convince me that this was due to stress in my marriage. He made me believe that it was my body trying to cope with the fact my husband and I were having fertility issues.

It was months after that when I…
